ATMOS brings PYTHON skin to ASICS GEL-LYTE III colorway
atmos Tokyo x Asics Gel-Lyte III OG Python Many boutiques are available for one-off collaborations with specific shoe brands, although atmos Tokyo is often asked to bring their main focus on design to brands such as Adidas, New Balance and Asics. The latter of the three is reaching out to their Japanese neighbors again, as atmos Tokyo is adding python detailing to the classic Asics Gel-Lyte III OG in a "white" and "black" colorway. The iconic running-focused style retains its OG construction details, with premium smooth leather and suede for a variety of padding and overlays. On the base layer, the latter of the two materials is used, while leather lands on the fenders, midfoot, eyestays and heel overlays. The laces and panels feature a tone-on-tone palette, but the bold Asics tiger logo is covered in faux python. As for the rest of the branding details, they ditched any reference to atmos in favor of the typical "Gel-Lyte III" and "Asics" text on the heel. While not visible at first, the cutouts on the fenders and heel actually feature a luminous finish. Completing the design is a matching gel-cushioned midsole paired with a rubber outsole that carries GITD detailing on the heel. atmos Tokyo x Asics Gel-Lyte III OG Python Pack will be available online and in-store from September 23, 2022 via atmos Tokyo.
